Governor Greg Abbott and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality have presented the Harris-Galveston Subsidence District with a Texas Environmental Excellence Award in recognition of our efforts to preserve and protect the Texas environment.
This award is a direct result of the dedication of HGSD’s Board of Directors and staff to prevent further subsidence in Harris and Galveston counties through groundwater regulation and water conservation!
