After completing an Alternative Water Supply Availability Assessment in 2022, the Harris-Galveston Subsidence District identified a portion of northeast Harris County as an area needing alternative water supplies to meet future growth and water demand projections without causing further subsidence. This led the District to conduct a new study to assess and identify feasible alternative water supply options and strategies for this area.
