Water conservation is an essential component to reduce reliance on groundwater withdrawal and prevent further subsidence, which is why the Harris-Galveston Subsidence District implemented its Water Conservation Program. This award-winning program is dedicated to making water efficiency easily obtainable for all and provides partnerships, tools, and resources to make each drop of water go further.
HGSD is seeking a statement of qualifications from qualified professionals to engage in professional services agreements for the analysis of measurable water savings and evaluation of potential water savings achieved from three of its water conservation programs, including the School Program, the Grant Program, and WaterMyYard. This study will involve the development of a methodology to quantify water savings across these programs utilizing various datasets, analysis of the results, and recommendations for potential future water savings from higher-level education. Water conservation specialists and professional engineers are encouraged to attend the pre-submittal conference, which will be held virtually on March 3rd for additional information and submit their statement of qualifications for this solicitation by March 25th.
