| Job Summary: | The Harris-Galveston Subsidence District is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Geoscientist to support the District’s research and monitoring efforts. This position plays a key role in operating and maintaining the District’s subsidence monitoring network, assisting with the analysis and management of research projects, and supporting the District’s geographic information systems (GIS) programs. The Geoscientist will gain hands-on experience in fieldwork, data management, geospatial analysis, and project coordination. This position works under the direction of the Director of Research and Water Conservation and contributes directly to the District’s mission to provide reasonable groundwater regulation based on the best available science to prevent further subsidence within Harris and Galveston counties. |
